An asset-light verification layer for rented two‑wheelers.

Fleets own and service the bikes. Just Ride checks riders, handles the rental agreement and takes the payment.

Almaty avenue toward the mountains

Kazakhstan made scooter rentals liable for who rides. Bike fleets are next.

  1. 6 Apr 2025

Mopeds became motor vehicles: registration, plates, licence, insurance.

  2. 2 Jul 2026

Law No. 246-VIII: e‑scooter rental companies must check licences through state systems and keep unlicensed and under‑18 riders off the road.

First registrations of motorcycles and mopeds rose from 4 900 in 2024 to 46 200 in 2025, after mopeds became motor vehicles.

A fleet that rents on paper for cash has no proof of who rode. Just Ride keeps that proof.

The market in Kazakhstan

In Almaty, Yandex lists partner fleets where its couriers can rent bikes, the kind of fleet Just Ride is built for.

We earn 10% of every rental payment.

The fee is deducted when the rider pays in the app. Fleets pay no monthly or per-bike fee and need no hardware.

A petrol moped rents for more than an e-bike, so the same 10% earns about 1.7 times as much.

We do not own vehicles, and the plan does not count on side income from insurance, advertising or fines.

The model that survived

Most free-floating sharing did not last. Renting one bike to one courier did, and Just Ride serves that model without owning a bike.

Where we are

Just Ride LLP was founded in Almaty in 2025. The courier app and the fleet console are built, and the pilot for fleets in Almaty is open.

Company

Where this goes

The first job is to prove that electric and petrol fleets in Almaty pay for the service. Next come more fleets in Almaty, then a second city. Over time each courier builds a verified rental and payment history that partners could use to finance a bike.

Cleared to ride.
